The 25th international NATURE, HUNTING, FISHING, TOURISM fair will be organisedin Varaždin from 8th to 10th of October 2021 at Arena Varaždin by the river Drava.
This traditional event is the largest yearly hunting and fishing event in Croatia and the region. Roughly 100 exhibitors from Croatia and other countries (Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania) present their offerings across nearly 2,000m2 of exhibition space.
The presentation programme consists of mostly hunting, fishing, and camping equipment. In addition to this, presenters from the tourism sector, family farms, and food and beverage producers also exhibit their products.
In addition to the presentation programme, the fair also features a diverse entertainment and education programme. Some of the content that has generated the greatest interest has become a traditional component of the fair – every year, the Croatian Hunting Union presents its taxidermy collection, and Smrčak Mushroom Society from Čakovec has prepared a fascinating mushroom exhibit for the past few years. For the past four years, the Zagreb Zoo has also prepared a large educational exhibit. The Interland company from Varaždin prepares taxidermied fish. Hunting dogs always thrill visitors, and last year the a hunting dog show was a smashing success. Birds of prey and large Eurasian eagle-owls have become a trademark of this fair. Last year, an exhibition of bonsai was organised for the first time. In addition to all this, the fair features unmissable yearly culinary presentations by the Koprivnica-Križevac County Tourist Board, as well as expert lectures and dislocated content, such as a hunter’s cup which is held in Ljubeščica.
In addition to the exhibition space in the hall, the fair is also held in a food & beverage tent beside the hall. Here, everyone who loves good food and drink can find something to suit them, from hunter-style goulash to fire-roasted carp and various specialties, while the music programme helps contribute to the festive atmosphere.
