PUT Tourism Exchange is one of the significant Croatian tourism gatherings, bringing together professionals from travel agencies, the hotel sector, tourism service providers, the tourist board system, and tourism journalists. It has been held for more than 20 years, taking place each year in a different Croatian destination.
In addition to the business-oriented program, whose main goal is the presentation of tourism offer content and new developments, the program is complemented by familiarization with the host destination and its offer, professional discussions and presentations, and active networking among participants. All of this has made the PUT Tourism Exchange over the years a respected business event, as well as an interesting and valuable study trip. This is best confirmed by the fact that representatives of around one hundred tourism entities from Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as representatives of around ten domestic and international media outlets, regularly participate in the event.
As part of the exchange, the traditional annual awards ceremony Simply The Best is also held, jointly presented by the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies and the PUT Tourism Exchange.
The exchange was held for the first time in Varaždin in 2000, and since then the following tourist destinations have served as hosts and co-organizers in chronological order: Varaždin, Sisak, Opatija, Ogulin, Bjelolasica, Petrčane, Vodice, Tuheljske toplice, Brela, Šibenik, Toplice Sveti Martin, Mali Lošinj, Zagreb, Malinska, Poreč, Rabac, Trakošćan, Marija Bistrica, Split, Varaždin, Gradac, Selce, Velika Gorica, Biograd na Moru, Toplice Sveti Martin.
The 26th edition of the exchange will be held from April 14 to 16, 2026, on the island of Cres. The hosts will be the Cres Tourist Board and the Primorje–Gorski Kotar County Tourist Board.
Applications for participation in the exchange will open in early March.
